Commerzbank adopts Verity search technology

Germany's Commerzbank has deployed the K2 Enterprise search platform from Sunnyvale, California-based Verity in a bid to improve consumer access on its web site.

The bank is using the technology to consolidate its increasing content in one single point to facilitate customer access on its corporate web portal. Commerzbank selected Verity after analyzing its security, performance, multilingual, classification and personalization capabilities. "Verity's K2E provides a personalized and secure access point to Commerzbank Group's knowledge, making a reality of our desire to bring together central tasks for the whole company while allowing specific definition of content as it applies to each business unit," said Willi Sonntag, Commerzbank's director of communications. According to Verity, the K2 Enterprise tool will allow Commerzbank's internet users to locate information on its web site quickly and easily. Its categorization capability also enables the bank's business units to organize its content through the use of business rules for each business area.
