Industry Leaders Rocco Donnino, David Harris and Harnish Patel Join Winning Sales Team
SurfControl, the world leader in enterprise threat protection, today announced the following executive appointments: Rocco Donnino as vice president of worldwide business development and OEM, David Harris as vice president of worldwide channel sales and Harnish Patel as senior vice president of sales for the Europe, Middle East and Asia (EMEA) region. SurfControl's continued hiring of top industry leaders demonstrates the company's focus and commitment to the global threat protection market. Donnino brings nearly 20 years of sales, marketing and business development experience from Bank of America, Dun & Bradstreet, Sybari Software, Inc. and Microsoft to his new business development and OEM role. Before joining SurfControl, Donnino was part of the senior leadership team recruited by Microsoft to design and implement a new worldwide security product offering and security sales force surrounding the technologies and assets from the Sybari acquisition. He has consistently delivered strong and sustainable revenue gains through combined expertise in sales, strategic business planning, business and OEM development, customer retention and relationship management. Harris has held business leadership positions at Adobe Systems, Texas Instruments, and ActivCard and has nearly 25 years of experience in the software industry. Before joining SurfControl, Harris served as vice president of America's sales for ActivCard, where he lead the enterprise and channel sales teams as well as field engineering. During his 10 year tenure at Adobe Systems he held senior management positions in sales, marketing and product development. Patel joins SurfControl with more than 20 years of experience in senior-level sales and management roles at Sun Microsystems and IBM. While a member of the European Executive Management Team at Sun, Patel helped drive the company's US$1.2 billion server business in Europe and was responsible for all related sales, marketing and channel development. Prior to his tenure at Sun, Patel served as business director of IBM's Intel Server Division for the United Kingdom and Ireland. Patel also has held senior sales and marketing positions at Nuance and Quadriga.
