FaceTime Enterprise Edition - Content Control
FaceTime Enterprise Edition

FaceTime Enterprise Edition

FaceTime Enterprise Edition is a comprehensive solution for the security, management and compliance of real-time communications, consisting of user policy management, message hygiene, spyware prevention and targeted remediation, archiving for compliance, blocking unauthorised usage, and protecting the network against sophisticated user workarounds.

FaceTime Enterprise Edition is used by the world's largest firms to manage, secure and control real-time communications - or Greynet - applications.

Many greynet applications deliver significant business advantages through productivity increases and cost efficiencies. But they also pose serious risks from inbound and outbound threats that can result in network downtime, breaches in compliance, and information leakage. Additionally, new e-Discovery legislation that went into effect December 1, 2006 requires organizations to keep track of all emails, instant messages and other electronic documents and be able to produce "electronically stored information" as part of the litigation discovery process.

FaceTime Enterprise Edition creates a framework for authorized access to IM and other greynet applications outside the perimeter, coupled with a mechanism for detecting and preventing rogue or unauthorized access. The result is comprehensive protection without compromise on cost, performance or operational considerations. With the recent addition of Greynet Enterprise Manager (GEM), enterprises can now manage security policies and aggregate reporting for IM, P2P, web conferencing and VoIP chat threads across distributed enterprise environments. GEM extends enterprise anti-spyware to include targeted remediation and repair of infected endpoints, without the need to deploy client software.

Instant Messaging in particular has quickly moved from a personal communications tool to a valuable communications application. Enterprise Instant Messaging (EIM) products from Microsoft, IBM and others are moving rapidly towards becoming unified communication and collaboration platforms and with the advent of federation, empower employees to communicate in real time with one another as well as with customers, partners, and others outside the corporate network.

By implementing FaceTime Enterprise Edition, enterprises can create an environment in which the use of real-time communications can benefit the business without endangering the security and confidentiality of its data.
