Designed and priced to meet the needs of smaller organisations, the GB-250 and GB-250e include the same security and UTM features of our larger enterprise firewall UTM appliances, but scaled to fit the needs of offices with fewer than 50 employees.

Full Featured Unified Threat Management For Small Businesses
Three independent high speed network interfaces are each configurable as external, internal and DMZ. Powered by GB-OS system software with Dynamic Gateway Architecture, the GB-250 and GB-250e can be customized to fit your network design from simple Plug-and-Play to utilizing load balancing and gateway failover for up to six gateways. Gateway Sentinel, GTA’s suite of threat management products and services, includes an Intrusion Prevention System, Internet content filtering and email proxy with basic email filtering. Expanding the UTM features is easy and affordable with Mail Sentinel anti-virus, Mail Sentinel anti-spam and Surf Sentinel URL content filtering. The GB-250 and GB-250e firewall UTM Appliances are available in two standard configurations: 10 or 25 concurrent outbound users and may be upgraded to 50 concurrent users. The GB-250e features VPN hardware acceleration to off-load the intensive VPN encryption for increased VPN throughput. The GB-250 firewall UTM Appliance Family meets ICSA 4.1 Corporate criteria.
Integration

GB-250e firewall UTM Appliance
The GB-250e features VPN hardware acceleration for faster VPN throughput, making it the perfect solution for secure VPN connections to corporate offices or for telecommuting via GTA Mobile VPN Client. By off-loading power intensive VPN encryption to the VPN accelerator, both VPN and standard connections benefit.

- Intrusion Prevention System. GTA's IPS compares data packets to over 4000 signature-based policy definitions to recognize attacks and protect against network anomalies. IPS carefully analyzes traffic and automatically blocks attacks before they can reach the network. IPS configuration options include the selection of protected services and the handling of suspect packets.
- The Mail Sentinel anti-virus subscription option provides real-time virus and malware scanning of email against a database of nearly 100,000 virus definitions. Option not available on GB-250/e Rev A units.
- Mail Sentinel anti-spam subcription option, powered by MailShell's multi-level anti-spam technology, offers customizable spam blocking and filtering for the GB-250's email proxy.
- Surf Sentinel content filtering subscription option allows organizations to increase productivity and reduce liability by limiting access to unproductive or inappropriate Web sites based on over 70 category ratings.
