3e Technologies International's (3eTI) 3e523 Wireless Data Point enables economical installation of sensor systems. With security enhanced IEEE 802.11 wireless technology, costly installation cabling is eliminated. Any sensor installation can communicate to the data network wirelessly utilizing a 3eTI secure Access Point for connection to the wired network system. This system is transparent to the application software and provides network data security at a level appropriate for use in security sensitive applications.
The 3e-523 provides connection ports to communicate with either ethernet or serial data sensor signals. In addition, the 3e-523 can be provided with GIS tracking to provide location information for mobile sensors. The low voltage DC power supply requirement enables ease of use in battery, solar, or vehicle installations. The 3e-523 connects ethernet or serial data equipment to the monitoring system allowing the system to be optimized, section-by-section, for the specific application.

As part of an application, the 3e-523 Wireless Data Point provides a direct connection to the sensor. The 3e-523 Data Points communicate with 3eTI Wireless Access Points to form a secure wireless network for the sensor data. 3eTI also provides the middleware to control and monitor the wireless network along with managing the data flow and conditioning the data for the computer system. The InfoMaticsTM software system is available from 3eTI to provide asset tracking, personnel tracking, GIS information, and so forth.

The use of InfoMatics software provides the systems integration and display capabilities necessary to bring many different components together into one system. InfoMatics Integrator and Display Systems enable communication with legacy applications, as well as viewing of GIS-based map data. The InfoMatics solution integrates a variety of tools such as a Webbased Geographic Information System (GIS), embedded Asset Tracking and Monitoring, and Asset Management.
GIS layers can be created to include: map data, facilities management, environmental, and security. Additional layers and maps for functions such as utilities can also be added.
